Retro Access Famicom SNES SFC csync XRGB Japanese 21 pin RGB JP-21 cable lead
This cable is fully compatible with the following Nintendo systems:
Super Nintendo US version (fat, not SNES mini)
Super Famicom (fat, not SFC Jr.)
Please note - this cable is not wired for the SCART standard used in Europe. It uses Japanese 21 pin wiring (JP
-21) which is only for use on XRGB scalers.
This cable contains a 330 ohm resistor on the csync line (in line with standard SNES/SFC output). Please note that this may make it incompatible with NES RGB boards and other mods with a Nintendo type multiout. If your console outputs 75 ohm sync like many mods do you should be using a cable without resistor - just make a request in the notes section when checking out. Please contact me for more details if unsure. Please contact your modder if you don't know the voltage on csync for your mod.
Uses csync for sync to eliminate potential issues with picture artifacts. If you have an original SNES this will work fine (excepting the rare 1 CHIP-03 which need an internal conversion). If you have an N64 with an RGB upgrade, these usually do not have sync connected so please purchase a Luma cable if you are unsure. Please note that if you have an RGB SNES Mini or SFC Jr. it ALSO needs csync connecting to work with this cable.
