Retro Access exclusive custom-designed Housing (Hood) and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for DIY cables. Unlike conventional designs which place components downstream at the SCART end, Retro Access boards place key signal components right at the source (console). This ensures superior signal integrity for the clearest, most accurate audio-visual experience. This kit includes all necessary circuit components pre-mounted for safe and specification compliant RGB video while aiding in clean, simplified assembly versus struggling with loose components.

Compatible with the Super NES (NTSC only), Super Famicom, and RGB modded Famicom, NES and N64 AV Multi Out. This kit is not compatible with PAL consoles.

The Retro Access exclusive 3-position MultiSync selector switch supports three sync modes: Composite Sync (CS), Sync on Luma (Y), and Sync on Composite Video (CV). This opens up flexibility for compatibility across a wide variety consoles, mods, switches and displays, all in a single cable.

Cable selection is for the strain relief hole size only, cable is not included. The approximate diameter of Fortraflex is 7mm (0.27″), Coaxial is 9mm (0.35″).

Installation:

  1. Using the housing (hood) as a fixture, bend the pins down and solder the board directly to the connector.
  2. Remove the assembly from the housing and solder the reverse side.
  3. Solder Red, Green, Blue conductors to R, G, B pads.
  4. Solder Sync, Left Audio, Right Audio conductors to S, L, R pads.
  5. Solder 5V directly to 5V pad.
  6. Solder grounds to square ground pads.
  7. For TTL (5V) CSync, bridge jumper JP1.
  8. Use glue for jacket strain relief and assemble the housing.
